about

When this song was first born, world class bellydancer, Tamalyn Dallal, danced to my acapella performance at her renowned Mideastern Dance Exchange studio in Miami Beach. Here is the latest semi-acoustic version, thanks to the talents of Glen Laughlin of the Cherry Bluestorms, of a vision I have for Gypsy Sunset.

lyrics

The sky is swirling like a gypsy twirling
Dazzling colored shawls just before night falls.
A breeze unfurling the last skirt's whirling
And the stars arise in the gypsy's eyes
Sweet violin fades into ash
Heaven's strewn with a gypsy's laugh
Bring your tambourine, ring your tambourine
Bring your tambourine, it's a gypsy sunset.

A twilight falling to the gypsy's calling
Crystal fortune gaze in a glowing haze
Sweet violin fades into ash
Heaven's strewn with a gypsy's laugh
Bring your tambourine, ring your tambourine
Bring your tambourine, it's a gypsy sunset

Dance, dance, while there's still a chance
And the color's all around us
Dance, dance, while there's still a chance
Dance, dance, dance
